The Lancaster Middle School and High School Carnival Kids Steel Orchestra was established in 1972, and is one of the premier High School Steel Drum programs in the country. They have performed and earned awards in Disney World, Barbados, Hawaii, Trinidad, and many regional, state and national festivals. In addition they host their own Island Night Dinner/Dance. The group is directed by Mr. Ken Kowalski, the Instrumental Music Teacher at Lancaster Middle School.

During his professional career as a musician, multi-instrumentalist R. Scott Bryan has performed worldwide, while writing, recording and touring with Sheryl Crow for a five year period. Over the years, Scott has found himself performing everywhere from the Royal Albert Hall in London to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and at the 25th Anniversary of Woodstock in 1994.
Today, R. Scott Bryan finds himself dividing his professional time between touring with the Peter Mayer Group, pursuing a successful solo career and working in his studio, producing and recording artists from all walks of life.

Sam’s unique guitar style, soulful voice, and his rapport with audiences make his performances a true pleasure. A seasoned player, he gets right to the heart of the music and makes every note his own. In 2001 Sam’s original song entitled FLY, was chosen as the title cut of the debut release of Elektra Record’s international recording artist Dante Thomas. In addition to achieving gold status in several countries, FLY was featured in an episode of Popstars on the WB Television Network. Sam has written and released two CD’s of original music and is currently working on his third disc due for release in the Fall of 2004 on the Northstar Records label.
"Uncle" Jim Mayer (Performing in ExpERIEnce Museum Children's Tent)
Jim Mayer, a.k.a. "Uncle Jim," has been immersed in music all his life. He lived the first part of his life in India, the son of Christian missionaries, where he was influenced by all kinds of music from regional Indian compositions to the Beatles.
Jim shines on both electric and upright acoustic bass, and has played with a diversity of performers from jazz legend Mose Allison to Ringo Starr. He has co-written songs with his brother Peter on several albums, as well as with Jimmy Buffett. He currently tours with Buffett performing live across the U.S.
